There’s a pool party going on at the Happy Tail Resort! This doggie daycare located in Norfolk, Virginia has a swimming pool. It had the right depth for these pooches to swim with ease, there was a non-swimming dog in the middle of the water that seemed to be in a trance-like state.
A dog stands still
This non swimming dog wasn’t moving at all, unlike all the other pups that were prancing about and splashing around, this one was standing perfectly still. The dog was not treading water; it was just standing. It is possible that it felt like it was in a spa, enjoying the therapeutic benefits of the ripples that the other dogs create from their movements.
The dogs that attended the pool party included a St. Bernard, a few Labradors, and other dog breeds. These dogs were boisterous as they frolicked, while there was the loner hound who might have felt out of place during a party, as there are times that people get shy and become a wallflower. This dog is a pool flower, and one of the prettiest ever.
This loner hound that stood still during the pool party is named Beya. She has been nicknamed by those who work at the Happy Tail Resort as the “non-swimming dog” as whenever it is pool time, Beya choose to stand still.
Doggie daycare serves to teach our pooches to get along with other dogs. However, the body language of Beya indicates that she might be stressed or fear because of a frightening experience. Beya’s mouth was tightly closed, her brows furrowed, and her ears flipped backward. It also is possible that she played it safe to avoid being bumped by the playful dogs.
For whatever reason this dog stood still, she is so much like a loner during a party! She held her ground in the water! You’ll have to admire her as she did things differently to overcome her fears.
