Roo, an adorable puppy, got her name from a kangaroo because of her unique appearance.
She is a six legged dog, so she hops her way around when she moves about. Roo was born that way.
The eight-week-old Labrador mix has four front legs and two back legs. She finds it difficult to walk because of her extra limbs. But, she knows how to jump around to get from one place to another.
Lauren Salmon decided to adopt the six legged dog after her son, Luke, found the special pooch on the internet. She reached out to The Supervet specialist, Dr. Noel Fitzpatrick, to check out Roo’s condition. She wanted to see if they can do anything to improve the dog’s mobility.
Lauren and the rest of her family treat Roo as any other kind of dog. The pup brings a lot of joy and energy to the family. So, they just want to let her know how happy they are to have her as a family pet.
Luke went with his mom when it was time to pick up the adorable six legged dog.
When they arrived, Roo jumped out of her pen and greeted them with enthusiasm.
Lauren said that her son, Luke fell in love with Roo from the moment they met. They became inseparable, and their bond grows stronger as days go by. Roo even sleeps in Luke’s bed, and it’s always heartwarming to see them together.
Lauren mentioned that her son, Luke gets bullied because of his appearance. Her son has psoriasis, so he has flaky skin with red patches. This makes Luke feel different, but now, with Roo on his side, he will never feel odd again.
Luke and Roo both have unique features and it’s one of the reasons why they became best of friends. Roo, the six legged dog also helps Luke feel more relaxed, which helps a lot in improving Luke’s skin condition.
The family currently has two cats, a Jack Russel and two French Lop rabbits. Roo is a new addition to their animal-loving home. For now, she’s too little to go out, but she will definitely be introduced to the rabbits who are staying outside when she’s old enough.
