Mateo is a community volunteer who goes to poor communities and helps abandon dogs. One time he rescued a dog with a broken leg. He met with a vet named Dr. Jeff to help the dog get surgery.
The dog Matero rescued is called Paco by the people in the area he found him in. People know who Paco was, but nobody claimed ownership of him. His left front leg is broken, but it looks like he’s not in pain.
After Dr. Jeff saw Paco’s condition, he began preparing for the surgery. Aside from being a tough dog who can take the pain, Paco is very friendly. The vet believes he will be easily adopted after recovering.
Dr. Jeff is not the only one working on Paco’s surgery. Dr. Andres is another vet who is happy to work with Dr. Jeff whenever he has the chance. Dr. Andres says he learns something new every time the two of them work together.
During surgery, Dr. Jeff found a large lymph node that was caused by an infection. If it stayed on Paco’s body for any longer, it could have caused his death. Dr. Jeff can’t believe how upbeat Paco acted even when he had something like that.
In the end, Paco’s leg was amputated. However, it was for the better because the infection would spread otherwise. After the surgery that was done in Mexico, he was transported back to America for followup treatment.
Susan, the clinic’s adoption manager, fostered Paco for some time. She loves to take in rescued dogs, giving them temporary homes. Thanks to her, Paco’s future was secured.
Planet Pethood Plus posted Paco’s adoption profile on their website. A family made an appointment to see him. They made another visit to officially adopt him. Paco went from a street dog in Mexico to be a pet dog with a forever home.
