In the age of social media and technology, several kids lose sight of what is essential. For most kids, their virtual presence is their reality. However, this eight-year-old kid is making the most out of his childhood in style. Roman McConn is advocating for the adoption of dogs in several animal shelters.
At a very young age, Roman has already been exposed to advocacy that has something to do with animals. It then came as no surprise when Roman founded the Project Freedom Ride in 2016. Through the help of his parents, Roman made it a personal mission to save unwanted dogs inside animal shelters. The group caters explicitly to dogs who are on the brink of getting killed through mercy killing.
For four years now, the eight-year-old Roman became the face of the organization, and he has not disappointed yet. In most of his speeches, Roman advocates for the adoption of dogs. He believes that these dogs are beautiful creatures who deserve lovely treatment. Roman likewise forwards the idea that every dog should have a place to call home.
Since he advocates animal rights, Roman has become a guest on several TV programs. In his appearance on Little Big Shots show, the kid did not fail to forward his main agenda. He was invited to the show to talk about the group he heads and how he keeps his promise to the dogs.
According to Roman, since it is his advocacy, heading the group is not taking a toll on himself. He said that he enjoys what he is doing because it is for the greater good. Roman then urged the people watching the show to adopt dogs because these dogs will change their lives for the better. As of writing, Roman’s group has already helped around 2,500 dogs to find their homes.
